Cracked open one of my Koelsches yesterday, poured, carbonation is low, but then I noticed this bunch of flakes in the glass. When I bottle, I try to get the very last drops of beer from the bucket. Today I opened another to check for these “bits” and simply because it’s a very good beer. No bits. I know the one this evening was bottled “early” in the process – I always put silver tops on the first twelve 12-oz bottles in a batch in case I want to enter it into a competition. No bits. Maybe I should leave that last beer in the bucket…. Nah.
